Job hunting with depression: ‘The rejection got to me and I couldn’t get out of bed’

Many people have found their mental health has been impacted by the widespread social isolation of lockdown, now almost a year into when Boris Johnson first announced the national stay-at-home order.

Throw in losing your job, and feeling a lack of purpose and financial worries, on top of these general struggles and feeling down, anxious or depressed is a totally normal experience.

When there is a lack of quality positions, you’re sending off many applications and not getting much response, or not landing the role after interviews, you won’t be the only job hunter feeling dejected.
